Nhood is a Finalist in 8 Categories at the Solal Awards

Nhood Portugal has just been recognized as a finalist in five categories at the prestigious Solal Awards, promoted by the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC). This recognition highlights the excellence and innovation of the projects implemented in the Alegro shopping centers, which are part of the portfolio managed by Nhood in Portugal.
Alegro Setúbal was nominated in the Customer Services category with the project “Silent Hour”, an initiative that fosters a more inclusive environment for people on the autism spectrum and neurodivergent individuals. Alegro Alfragide stood out in the Placemaking category with the Christmas show “Aladdin on Ice”, an event that combined high-quality entertainment with strong community engagement.
Alegro Montijo was recognized in two different categories: Placemaking, with the “Magical Lift” project, an immersive experience designed to surprise families during the holiday season; and Brand & Tenant Partnerships, with the “Book Booth”, a project aimed at promoting reading habits, in partnership with Fnac. Finally, Alegro Sintra was a finalist in the Corporate Social Responsibility category with the project “Christmas in Pairs”, a charitable initiative to support the Amadora Sintra Hospital Center.
In addition to the projects in Portugal, Nhood also submitted three projects from Spain, which were also selected as finalists — totaling eight Iberian recognitions and demonstrating the consistency and quality of the company’s work across both markets.
Maura Teixeira, Marketing & Innovation Director Iberia at Nhood, highlights:
“Being among the finalists of the Solal Awards — with five nominations in Portugal and three in Spain — is a significant acknowledgment of the role marketing plays in creating value in the assets managed by Nhood and in the communities where they are located. Seeing such a diverse range of initiatives recognized — from events to services and campaigns — alongside the best in Europe reinforces our vision that shopping centers should be vibrant spaces where customer experience, innovation, and positive impact go hand in hand. We are proud to see the work, creativity, and dedication of our teams recognized at this level, with a total of eight of our Iberian projects selected.”
The Solal Awards are among the most prestigious distinctions in the field of marketing and shopping center management, promoting and recognizing best practices in the sector across Europe. The fact that all Iberian submissions from Nhood were recognized underlines the consistency and quality of the work developed, as well as the positive impact of the projects on local communities.
